Read. Wonder. Listen. Stories from the Bible for Young Readers

Gold Medal Winner, Children’s Picture Book, 2019 Illumination Awards

“Every person who tells these stories does it in a slightly different way. And every person who reads these stories hears something a bit different. So even though these stories are very old, they are also always new.”

Read. Wonder. Listen helps children, and the adults who love them, ask big questions: Who are we? Where do we belong? What are we supposed to do and who are we supposed to be? Where is God? How does God want us to live?

That sense of wonder and surprise is strikingly and evocatively captured in the full-colour illustrations by Ann Sheng.

I found “Read, Wonder, Listen” to be beautifully and intelligently written. It is rare to find a children’s Bible that catches the subtlety and nuances of the original texts and then communicates those deep truths in a beautiful and poetic way. It is a great book to read through as well as being an amazing resource for churches, Sunday School teachers and ministers. I am a minister and I have used it in worship services several times and highly recommended it without reservation to my congregation. Several people from my church have purchased it for themselves and for their children and grandchildren. This is by far the best children’s Bible I have read and I recommend it to anyone.
