Faithfully Creative: A Conversation

I’ve been on Matt Brough’s podcast before, when it went by a different name, and I have always found our conversations to be thought-provoking and a lot of fun. So I was very happy to have the opportunity to be a guest on the second episode of the freshly minted Faithfully Creative Podcast, discussing creativity, wonder, and play, especially as this relates to my own work as a children’s author.

Our conversation also aligned with work I’ve been doing recently in the area of play and worship, and defining creativity more broadly (not just having artistic skill), so talking with Matt actually helped me clarify and express some of what I have been mulling over. Not surprisingly, the importance of curiosity in both intellectual and spiritual life works its way into the interview too.

If you have an hour to spend, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, curl up and join us. You might find your own creativity sparked; at the very least, the break from the news cycle will probably be good for your spirit. Here is the interview.

In addition to being a pod-caster and a Presbyterian minister, Matt is an author in his own right. His Del Ryder books are a fantasy/adventure series for kids 8 and up (he writes for grownups too). You can learn more about Matt and his work here.
